Question BaaN - HR Module?

Can anyone provide me the info, whether Baan is developing a Human Resource (HR) Module ( BaaN-People!!). OR we have to go for 3rd party softwares?

Regards

DST Ltd in Poland developed a HR Module for Baan IV and Baan V. The Baan IV version is available in English and Polish; not sure if the Baan V version is available in English yet.

At this point I've primarily looked at the literature but I hope to be able to test it in the next month or so.

See the DST website http://www.dst.com.pl/

BAAN People and the DST solution

Hi,

BAAN People (or the intended HR solution) will not be available before Gemini.
So, at least not before September 2003.

We have tested the HR solution from DST and noticed that there were many issues with the English translations and that the product is not yet ready for the US market from a legal perspective.
It may be okay for the European market.

In any case: when you build an integration with a 3rd part app make sure you will meet all local legal requirements. These will be very different per country.

Regards,

Edwin

Hi abhivyakti ,

I cant comment on the information U have gathered regarding HT, But the best thing would be to see a live simulation of the Software and then assess. This shouldnt take much time.

With a good Clientele using it, better is to see how best it suits your processes.

If anything else I can help you Pl be in touch.

Best Wishes

DST HR solution

Hi
I am from DST Ltd. from Poland, we do have our own Human Resources Packages in Baan4 and Baan5.
Both version are available in English and Polish.
In December we completed implementation of HR and Payroll Packages in Kenya.
The name of the company is Bidco Oil Raffineries
(www.bidco-oil.com). It is an India company having factories
in Kenya and Tanzania which employes about 2000 employes and casual workers.
And it has to be emphasized that they have chosen Polish HR Baan solution instead of Indian one.
Of course in each country there are a lot of specific regulations that have to be implemented and that is why we made a localization and customization for them.
More details about the implementation on http://www.dst.com.pl/english/aktualnosci.php?id=7
