Baan: Baan IVc4 SP20, ERP LN FP3 - DB: MSSQL 2005 - OS: W2K3
Extra flicker after upgrading Baan Windows Client to BW_068

When testing the Baan GUI with the menu browser interface bw version B40c.68 flickers much more compared to bw version B40c.67.

To test:
1. Start Baan with menu browser interface, menu tccom00000000
2. Double click open some menu folder (e.g. Baan IV Manufacturing, Baan IV Tools, Baan IV Common)
3. Single click any other menu item (e.g. Baan IV Common)
4. bw will flash, redrawing the whole menu tree. bw version B40c.67 doesn't do this.

Does anyone else get the following? You will need to be on a relatively old PC (e.g. Pentium 200Mhz- 400Mhz) to see it. We get it whatever the client OS, server OS or porting set - bug Baan Global Support can't reproduce it.

If you get the extra flicker please reply to this post

Thanks

Phil

I get that but what problem it gives?

I can reproduce but I did not find any issues with it.
In fact baan had fixed certain refresh issues with bw608.

We had problems with refresh on most order screen and it is fixed now.

thanks,Eric.

Thanks for replying. It doesn't cause any business problem apart from the annoyance factor. It's a regression, maybe small, but it should still needs fixing.

Thanks again, Phil
