Single Logistics Multi Finance

A customer of mine wants to move to SLMF model from the current multiple SLSF companies he has. Will use ERPLN 6.1

Do any of you experts have experience with SLMF on Baan 5 or LN, and what to watch out for, pitfalls etc?

Thanks in advance.

Keep it straight and easy. Sing.Log, multi fin. can act great,

The standard issues functional are always:
- Local Compliances
> are there more countries involved
> every country has is own rules (tax, finance ect.)
- Internal Settlements
> how do the internal invoicing / settle ments (prices, procedures etc)
- Valuation of Items
> Items values in local currency (HC1).
> Only one FTP per Item
> Only one BOM per Item
- Authorisations
>Who is allowed to see and to do what
- Sharing
> Keep close to the standard baan rules

Have fun.

Slmf

My case looks as follows.
There are three plants in Germany, Czech Republic and China. Products are manufactured as well in one country as in the other. Currently most of the products are developed and sold in Germany and produced in Czech Republic but some of them are produced in both countries. Soon many products will be produced in China for the Asian market as well.

Especially for the material flow between Germany and Czech Republic I would like to use the functionality of one logistic company. I suspect those which have concerns that
- the users of the different plants do not really want to agree on company standards
- the "LN experts" have no experience with that model and therefore they are against

I can imagine that we agree on one language.

What are your remarks to this situation.

Hi gsurya,

maybe you know it already but if not the Infor document U8423C US "User´s Guide for Multicompany Structures" in ERP LN is a good starting point.
This document describes the functional aspects of multisite structures in ERP LN 6.1.

Regards,
Juergen
